The Afghanistan cricket board (ACB) on Monday announced the squad for the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Premier League.
Afghanistan is among the six Asian countries which will contest in ACC Premier League, scheduled for May 1-7 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Nepal, United Arab Emirates, host Malaysia, Hong Kong and Oman are participating in the first edition of the tournament.
The tournament will be played in the ODI format and four top teams will qualify for the ACC Championship
The Afghanistan squad includes Mohammad Nabi Eisakhil, Nawroz Mangal, Shafiqullah Shafaq, Mohammad Asghar Stanikzai, Najibullah Tarakai, Samiullah Shinwari, Afsar Khan Zazai, Nasir Jamal Ahmadzai, Hashmatullah Shahidi, Mohammad Javid Ahmadi, Shapoor Zadran, Aftab Alam, Fazal Rehman Niazai, Amir Hamza Hotak, Sharafuddin Ashraf, YHamin Ahmadzai, Merwais AShraf, Rehmat Shah Zurmatai and Noor Ali Zadran.
The Afghanistan cricket board (ACC) chief executive, Dr. Noor Mohammad Murad said the Afghan team is well prepared for the contest.
He said the Afghan players will have a good performance against the rival teams and hopefully will bring the ACC trophy to Afghanistan.
